NEWS DIGEST- Nigerian comedian and actor, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has publicly apologized to his colleague, AY Makun. There had been rumors of a strained relationship between the comedians. The speculation gained steam during a Q&A session hosted by AY, where he hinted at the strained relationship with Basketmouth.

In a subsequent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, AY revealed that their friendship broke down over a N30,000 payment. Basketmouth had allegedly recommended AY as a replacement at a gig, which came through one of his crew members.

However, when AY asked for his payment, Basketmouth claimed that the client was yet to pay. In a video shared via his social media accounts on Monday, Basketmouth apologized to “everyone in the industry and beyond that I have offended knowingly or unknowingly.”

He also apologized to those who had accused him of actions that may have impacted their career. He refrained from accepting or denying any allegations made against him.
