… reduces number plate registration fees

NEWS DIGEST – Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello has directed immediate suspension of taskforce on enforcement of renewal/registration of motor cycles and other vehicle documents.

Governor Sani-Bello, in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Mallam Jibrin Ndace, also directed the release of all impounded motor-cycles on presentation of valid prove of ownership.

Further to this directive, Governor Abubakar Sani -Bello has also approved a grace period of one month ending on the 1st April, 2018.

Similarly, the Governor has , within the grace period, approved reduction in the purchase of number plates of motor-cycles from N6,200 to N3,500.

However, the Governor has warned all defaulters to take advantage of the grace period to renew their vehicle particulars.

The public is advised to note that the government does not have any intention to sell off impounded motorcycles as being insinuated.

All actions taken so far is geared towards the safety and security of citizens of Niger State.
