The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has announced the Hajj fare rates for the 2023 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

Announcing the new fare while addressing newsmen on Friday in Abuja, the NAHCON Chairman, Zikrullah Hassan, said this year’s fare is not uniform like before, adding that the rate varies with states.

According to him, each intending pilgrim from Maiduguri and Yola will pay the sum of N2,890,000.

Mr Hassan, however, said that intending pilgrims from other northern states will have to pay the sum of N2,919,000.

For states in the South-East and South-South states excluding Cross River, intending pilgrims are to pay the sum of N2,968,000 as Hajj fare.

“Cross River has the least price. Intending pilgrims from Cross River will pay N2,943,000,” the chairman said.

While intending pilgrims from Ekiti and Ondo states are to pay N2,888,000 respectively, intending pilgrims from Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states will pay the sum of N2,993,000 each.

The NAHCON chairman added that the deadline for completion of Hajj fare remains April 24, stressing that no additional dates would be entertained.
