I’ll perform better as EFCC Chairman – Ex-Kano CP Wakili
NEWS DIGEST – The former Kano State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Wakili has said that he will perform better as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Chairman, if appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a telephone chat with the News Digest, CP Wakili said having served in the agency for 12 years, he considered himself fit to lead the agency and fight corruption in the country.

“The office of EFCC chairman is a strategic position that calls for seasoned security and anti-corruption experts.
“I will be glad if offered the opportunity to serve this country as I have always done during my years in the service.
“I will ensure that corruption is fought to a standstill and ensure that recovered assets are properly documented for all Nigerians to see,” Mr Wakili added.
The News Digest observes that most Nigerians are appealing to President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint the ex-CP as EFCC chairman, following his tremendous outings as Kano State Police commissioner.
