Grammy award-winning Nigerian artiste, Temilade Openiyi, aka Tems, has revealed the most dangerous thing she has ever done.

During a recent interview with Elle magazine, the internationally renowned vocalist shared details about her exhilarating skydiving experience.

Tems, renowned for her soulful vocals and remarkable accomplishments in the music sector, which even include an Oscar nomination, disclosed that the act of skydiving is the most perilous experience she has ever encountered.

“The most dangerous thing I’ve ever done is jump out of a plane. I don’t even know how high but I went skydiving once. And I think for a second I was like, ‘Am I dying? I don’t know who sent me to do this. I don’t know why I decided to do this but here I am falling.

“My uncle convinced me and my cousins to jump. I was like, ‘Wow! So cool. Daredevil.’ And then we got into the plane and I was like I will just stay in the plane and they said I can’t. They pushed us out,” the singer said when asked about the most dangerous thing she had ever done.

Tems has made a reputation for herself in the Nigerian music industry, receiving numerous prizes and recognition.

In 2020, she gained global recognition when she teamed up with Wizkid for the track ‘Essence’, propelling her to international fame. Fast forward to February 2023, the talented artist achieved a significant milestone by receiving her inaugural Grammy award.

She won the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ award for her role in Future’s 2022 hit song ‘Wait for U’, which features Drake.
