NDLEA allegedly harass, arrest Naira Marley signees, Mohbad and Zinolesky

NEWS DIGEST – Operatives of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has in the early hours of today, Thursday, allegedly stormed the apartments of Naira Marley signees artistes, Mohbad and Zinolesky to arrest the duo.

Ilerioluwa ‘Mohbad’ Oladimeji and Oniyide ‘Zinoleesky’ Azeez are musicians signed by Azeez ‘Naira Marley’s Fashola under his record label, Marlain Records.

Naira Marley who is currently facing fraud charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is still battling with court cases.

News Digest gathered that the officials allegedly stormed into the residence of the musicians in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

According to eye witnesses, operatives of NDLEA accomplished the arrest on the duo without having any search warrants, and manhandled the artistes.

In videos trending online, it shows how the NDLEA operatives were attacking the acts signed under Marlian Music, with clubs and shooting into the air to compel them into waiting vans.

Reactions has however trailed the action of the NDLEA as many Nigerians on Twitter condemn the action and way at which the officials operate.

As at the time of publishing this report, the reason for the invasion of NDLEA and arrest of the duo is not yet known.
