The Grammy-winning musician Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, is honoring his late mother Jane Morayo Balogun with the release of his sixth studio album, “Morayo.”
The “Essence” hitmaker revealed that the album, which bears his mother’s name, will be released “very soon” in a video message that he posted on social media on Saturday.

“My album ‘Morayo,’ dedicated to my mother, the love of my life, drops very soon,” stated Wizkid. Avoid being boring. Avoid going to sleep.
Recall that Wizkid lost his mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, on August 18, 2023, in London after which she was buried in Nigeria.
Wizkid expressed that the pain of losing his mother “hurts deeply.”
He added: “The pain is profound.”
