Afrobeat star, Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, has revealed he will be taking a break from stage performance due to health concerns.

Rema headlined an event at the well-liked O2 Arena on November 14th, giving a thrilling performance.

Riding a stationary horse, dressed in all-black, and performing his latest single, “DND,” Rema made a stunning debut when he took the stage in front of the sold-out 20,000 spectators at the storied arena.

He then transitioned into a poetic performance of “Iron Man,” accompanied by an electrifying exhibition of Indian dancers on either side of him.

The musician announced in a mournful tweet that he would not be playing anyplace in December after this enormous event.

After years of touring, Rema claimed to have neglected his health and that he would take a break until 2024 to rehabilitate.

To quote him:

“Breaks my heart to say that I won’t be performing Anywhere this December, been years of touring I’ve ignored my health & I need time to recuperate. 2024 we go again.??”
