After being accused of lying to Nigerians about a fake medical issue in order to get money, Jay Boogie has responded.

Remember how Jay Boogie claimed a Nigerian physician in Lekki, Lagos State, had operated on him improperly?

Later, footage of him pleading for aid and disclosing that he had kidney problems surfaced. In addition, he claimed to be “dying.”

A medical professional provided an update in a post, stating that Jay hasn’t had a urination in the last 24 hours.

Additionally, the physician stated that Jay Boogie would require a kidney transplant because his two kidneys had failed.

However, after weeks of seeking funds from Nigerians, one of those who opened a GoFundMe account to source funds for Jay’s treatment came out to state that the donations will be returned because Jay is not being forthcoming with information about his diagnosis.

She added that they have asked Jay to provide a hospital report but he has been acting shady.

She then stated that the money donated will be returned to the public.
Jay has now reacted.

He said that he never told Nigerians that he needed a kidney transplant but he said he had other health issues and needed money for treatment.

He wrote:

Quote
“I never scammed Nigerians, I never lied, and I did not defraud anyone. I had sepsis and acute kidney injury, and I was on dialysis.”
He continued by saying that he is presently recovering after being released from the hospital on November 28.
He added that he no longer requires dialysis and that he feels better.
