Stay-at-home mum makes N90,000 monthly from mini importation business

NEWS DIGEST -A 33-year-old house wife, Helen Edward on Friday said that she made an average of N90,000 monthly profit from a mini importation business she does online.

Edward who resides in Kano, made this known in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

She said that she started the business in January this year with N30,000 where she ordered for women’s clothing, shoes and bags from China online.

“I got to know about the business on Facebook, where I paid N5,000 to be trained on the skills needed in the business.

” God so kind, I made my first order with N30,000 and made 50% percent profit after sells, and from then, I ordered more goods and gained more profit; I am currently earning N90,000 monthly,”she said.

The business woman stated that social media had helped her in boosting her business as customers demand for her goods from different parts of the country.

She stated that she had trained over 100 people on the business since March and mentored them in setting up their own businesses.

“After learning the secret of importation business, I decided to teach my fellow women, so that they can be self reliant.

“So, I advertised it on Facebook and people from different parts of the country responded which I trained them online for just a token”, she explained.

Edward who is a mother of two, advised women to embrace entrepreneurship to support themselves and their family.
