Popular Nigerian musician Kizz Daniel recently addressed a debate on social media regarding a purported arrest that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) made of him in Ivory Coast.

In an open statement, he addressed the online hot topic. In his explanation of the situation, Kizz Daniel said that CAF had been speaking to him through an intermediary rather than directly.

His contract’s “no money, no performance” condition served as the central conflicting factor. Kizz Daniel stated he chose to take the chance, going to Abidjan with the guarantee of payment upon his arrival despite numerous requests and numerous justifications relating to bank transfer delays.

Kizz Daniel reportedly decided to perform at the event for no payment since he remained steadfast in his support of CAF. His three-minute performance slot, though, was brief. Even worse, his team was the victim of a terrible attack backstage. He made the decision to leave at this point.

Kizz Daniel was precise in saying, “I am not arrested by CAF or detained in any way,” which is crucial. This comment, which successfully dispelled rumors of his incarceration, explained his status.
