Fireboy DML, the Afrobeats artist, has mentioned that he and his colleague, Rema, came together for a collaboration in order to demonstrate to their fans that there was no animosity between them.

He claimed that their decision was made due to their advanced age and status as the rising stars of the new generation.

Fireboy stated, “Myself and Rema are the two leading [Afrobeats] artists of our generation,” in an interview with Apple Music’s Ebro. Together, we realized that we should work together rather than giving the fans what they want—beef. because this stuff is too advanced for us.

“We didn’t even give them a club banger, we made proper music. We have five more collaborations.”

Social media users began comparing Fireboy and Rema after they both became well-known in the same year.

After Fireboy included Rema on the song “Compromise” from his third studio album, “Playboy,” the comparisons stopped.

Their friendly song together was a sign of their rapport.
