Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, David Adeleke, known as Davido, has shared that winning a Grammy Award is a daily prayer point for him.

 In a recent interview with GQ, Davido, expressed his aspirations after receiving three Grammy nominations for the 2024 awards. 

Davido’s album ‘Timeless’ competes in the Best Global Music Album category, while his tracks ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Feel’ are nominated in the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance categories, respectively.

 The artist faces tough competition, notably against Burna Boy, in multiple categories, including ‘Best Global Music Album’ and ‘Best Global Music Performance.’ Davido’s journey to Grammy success unfolds with anticipation and strong contenders in his path.

“Everybody knows what one of my prayer points is now. I have been nominated for three Grammys. So, everybody knows what I am praying for every day I wake up,” he said.

His fourth studio album, ‘Timeless’ was nominated in the Best Global Music Album category, while ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Feel’ were nominated in the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance categories, respectively.

Davido will be going against Burna Boy and Arooj Aftab, Silvana Estrada, Béla Fleck, Falu and Gaurav Shah for the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ win.
