Ilebaye Precious Odiniya, a Big Brother Naija All-Stars housemate, was crowned the show’s winner on Sunday.

The 22-year-old, who is also the show’s third female champion, was declared as the winner on October 1.

The eighth season of the show saw some thrilling twists and turns, with housemate Ilebaye defeating Mercy Eke, CeeC, Cross, Adekunle, and Pere to win the N120,000,000 prize money, among other prizes.

Here are seven highlights from the show’s current season:

(1) First Prize

The ultimate prize for this season was increased by N20 million above last year’s N100 million. The winner of the reality TV show’s 2023 season won home a hefty N120 million.

(2) Housemates

The cast for the ‘all stars’ edition included 20 ex-housemates: Pere, CeeC, Alex, Kiddwaya, Mercy, Tbaj, Angel, Neo, Alex, Cross, Seyi, Whitemoney, Uriel, Doyin, Princess, Soma, Ike, Adekunle, Venita, and Ilebaye.

(3)Jury for Eviction
This season of the show featured a few twists, one of which was the introduction of an eviction jury, which consisted of former residents tasked with deciding whether a housemate nominated for eviction that week stayed or left.

Following the outrage caused by the eviction of certain housemates, which netizens regarded harsh, organizers eventually cancelled this elimination process.

Mike, Saskay, Bisola, Dorathy, Elozonam, and Vee were among the jury members.

4)Reunion of Ex-Lovers and Foes
Fans of the reality program had no idea what to expect from ex-lovers Mercy Eke and Ike, as well as ex-friends Alex and Cee-C’s stint in the house, as all four made headlines for weeks after the seasons they participated in ended.

When the four were reunited for this season of the reality show, they were all friendly.

(5) Adekunle Olopade, also known as Adekunle, emerged as this season’s head of the house, gaining him exemption from eviction that week.

(6) Black Envelope Test
Mercy won the first ‘black envelope challenge,’ a new wrinkle devised by the organizers that grants immunity from eviction that week to any resident who discovers it.

(7) Additional houseguests
Biggie welcomed four ‘house visitors’ to his ‘Biggieverse’: ex-Big Brother Naija housemates Lucy, Prince, Kim Oprah, and Omashola.
