Zidane Names Top Players at Real Madrid Who Impressed Him Most

Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane has revealed the three players who left the biggest impression on him during his managerial stint at the club.

Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Karim Benzema were the standout performers according to Zidane, who praised their exceptional ability to maintain possession for prolonged periods during matches.

Zidane, who initially managed Real Madrid between 2016 and 2018, led the team to an unprecedented three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles, among other triumphs.

Returning to Madrid in 2019 for a further two years, Zidane secured the La Liga title and the Supercopa de Espana during his second tenure.

Asked to pinpoint the player who stood out the most during his coaching spell, Zidane singled out Kroos, Modric, and Benzema for their outstanding contributions on the field.

He answered (via Madrid Xtra): “Players who impressed me the most as a coach? When you see Kroos, Modrić and Benzema playing for you for an hour without losing a single ball, that is football.”
