A tragic road accident on the Bida-Mokwa road in Niger State has claimed the lives of thirteen individuals. The devastating incident occurred on Friday evening.

Among the victims were six girls who were accompanying a newlywed friend to her matrimonial home, according to reports.

The accident, which took place between Lukoro and Wuya villages, involved a head-on collision between a Toyota Corolla and a Nissan commercial bus. The impact was severe, leading to the loss of lives.

Tragically, the groom’s younger brother was also among those who perished in the accident. This was confirmed by Kumar Tsukwam, the Niger State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

Tsukwam said, “I am yet to ascertain this information, but very true, a crash occurred at Lukoro, Wuya axis. A Toyota Corolla and a Nissan commercial bus had a head-on collision and sadly, 13 people lost their lives.”
