NEWS DIGEST –Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who represents Edo North in Nigeria’s National Assembly, has expressed his confidence in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to leave a lasting legacy of national development.

Oshiomhole, a former Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), praised President Tinubu’s decision to appoint Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), lauding it as a groundbreaking move that showed anyone, regardless of ethnic background, could serve in leadership positions.

“President Tinubu’s leadership has given every part of Nigeria hope,” Oshiomhole said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). “His administration has demonstrated that one’s birthplace, tongue or dialect should not be a barrier to serving in government.”

The senator urged the new administration to focus on appointing capable and skilled ministers who could effectively translate vision into action. “One tree cannot make a forest. The quality of ministers and the leadership they provide in their respective ministries are what translate to whether the government performs or not,” he said.

“May this government be credited as the one that fixed what others could not fix. This will not be a government of lamentations but one that will do what others failed to do.”
