The award was presented to the bank’s management at the Banking and Financial Institutions (BAFI) awards ceremony in Lagos. Michael Iteye, the Regional Head of TAJBank in Lagos, received the award on behalf of the bank’s management.

The bank’s consistent efforts in driving financial inclusion in Nigeria over the past three years were also recognized.

The Managing Director of TAJBank, Hamid Joda, attributed the award to the dedication and hard work of both the staff and management of the bank. He expressed gratitude for the recognition and stated that it reflects the remarkable progress TAJBank has made.

Furthermore, Mr. Joda emphasized the bank’s focus on setting new standards in technology-driven services and offering value-packed products to customers. He proudly mentioned that this award comes just a few months after TAJBank achieved the top position in the Tier 1 Capital ranking and recorded the highest Profit Before Tax in the non-interest banking sector of the Nigerian Exchange in the first half of 2023.
