Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa: 1 Impactful Year in Office of an Outstanding Lawmaker
NEWS DIGEST – Today mark one year since my big brother, an outstanding mentor and unassuming boss, Distinguished Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, assumed office as the Senator representing the good people of Niger East Senatorial District.
Ever since he came on board, the soft-spoken Senator, as I will singularly like to call him, has continued to make the people of his Senatorial District, teeming Nigerlites, and in fact, Nigerians, proud.
This is evidenced in the brilliant, dynamic, purposeful, and trailblazing style he has been discharging his legislative duties.
It is doubtless to assert that the uncommon energy, unmatched zest and peerless charisma, Distinguished Senator Musa, has deployed in championing the good cause of his people is second to none.
In the 9th Senate, or better still Red Chamber, he has been like the proverbial ‘Rock Star’ since he was sworn in.
As Chairman of one of the most important Committees in the Upper Chamber–the Committee on Senate Services–Senator Sani Musa, has sponsored 11 bills, a feat that automatically made him to rank among the top 5 Senators with most bills according to Nigerian’s Authentic, Parliament/Citizens Multi-Platform interface Outfit @OrderPaper.
It may surprise many to even know that he also moved numerous Motions on the floor of the hallowed Red Chamber, despite resuming office few weeks later than others.
Sen. Mohammmed Sani Musa has been one of the most vocal and active Senators in the 9th Senate.
As a legislator who strives to initiate policies that will better the lives of his constituents, Nigerlites and Nigerians at large, Sen. M. S. Musa began his journey to the National Assembly (NASS) after the Supreme Court declared him victor of the Niger East Senatorial Election in the 2019 general elections.
Soon afterwards, he unveiled his “Strategic Senatorial Action Plan, for Niger East Senatorial District”. The Action Plan, unarguably the first of its kind, was unveiled on Sunday, 21st July, 2019.
This is to intimate the people of his Zone and by extension, Nigerians, of his plan for them.

The auspicious event had the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Lawan, Deputy Senate President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, and My Boss and Executive Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, among other top dignitaries, in attendance.
Senator Sani Musa, been a philanthropist with compassion for the downtrodden, never fails to put smile on the faces of anyone that comes his way. His penchant for success is second to none. He pushes you to outdo yourself and ensure you produce stellar results.
At a time when Niger State seems not to have many vibrant, celebrated and impeccable politicians, Sen. Musa has been able to carve a niche for himself as a consummate and well-respected politician at the national level.
His influence in both our local and national politics, as well as staying connected to the grassroots cannot be over emphasized.
I can confidently state that Senator Mohammed Sani Musa’s biggest nightmare is the issue of Insecurity and banditry that is bedeviling his people.
These are issues that give him sleepless nights. But thank God, he has vowed never to remain docile. He has also assured all those who care to know that by working hand in hand with the Federal and Niger State Government, under the able leaderships of President Muhammad Buhari and Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, as well as calling on the security agencies to always come to the aid of his constituents, he will not rest until the problem of insecurity is addressed in Niger East.
Indeed, there is no point reeling out all that Distinguished Senator Mohammed Sani Musa has achieved in just one year in office as a federal lawmaker.
But one can, without equivocation, posits that he has been able to bring us back to the time of late Senator Idris Kuta, one of the most vocal Senators during his stint in Red Chamber.
Kudos to Sen. M. S. Musa for propelling Niger State back to national prominence in the Upper Legislative Chamber.
That is why we have nothing to say to him, but to pray that Almighty Allah continue to give him the wisdom and good health, with which he will continue representing his people in the most progressive way.
Keep making us proud, even as you continue to also push the boundary of exemplary leadership, our Distinguished Senator.
