Real Madrid players pay tribute to Zidane following resignation

NEWS DIGEST – Zinedine Zidane shocked the football world on Thursday when he decided to call time on his managerial spell at the Spanish club. The Frenchman called an emergency press conference at Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground to disclose his decision to the world.

Zizou started his coaching career with Real Madrid Castillo in 2014. After completing a successful two-year term, he was given the mantle of first team duties in 2016 following the dismissal of Rafa Benitez. He recorded unprecedented success with Real Madrid winning two UEFA Super Cups, two FIFA Club World Cups, one La Liga title, one Spanish supercup and also became the first manager in history to win three successive Champions League titles.
Tributes flooded in for the Frenchman with several players taking turns in appreciating his achievement in the principality club. La Liga and UEFA also praised Zidane through their official twitter accounts.
