Police operatives in Kano, the Kano State capital have apprehended Chidera Ugwu, a 24-year-old quack doctor accused of administering a fatal injection to 19-year-old Amina, resulting in her death.
The incident occurred after Amina, allegedly pregnant by Nura Balarabe, sought assistance from the fake doctor. Investigations revealed a pattern of the suspect administering injections with tragic outcomes for pregnant women.

In a separate incident, Yusuf Haruna, an 18-year-old thug known as Lagwatsani, was arrested for the murder of Imam Sani Mohammed Shuaibu in Jakara quarters, Kano city.
The Imam was reportedly stabbed during ablution by the suspect, who had been warned to cease smoking Indian hemp around the mosque premises. Despite sustaining a severe injury, the Imam passed away at Murtala Muhammed Hospital.
Commissioner of Police Muhammed Usaini Gumel urged the public to remain patient as investigations into both cases unfold. The suspects have confessed to their crimes, and police intervention prevented Yusuf Haruna from being lynched by an enraged mob.
