President Bola Tinubu welcomed members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to a Ramadan breaking of fast (Iftar) at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa.

Among the attendees were Ministers of Information and National Orientation, Housing, FCT, Transportation, Youths, as well as service chiefs. This tradition of Ramadan Iftar has been observed at the Aso Rock Villa, the residence of Nigeria’s Presidents since 1999.

The event commenced with the Magrib prayer led by the Chief Imam of the Villa, Abdulwahid Suleiman. Following the prayer, President Tinubu accompanied the guests to the banquet, typically lasting for an hour, before the night prayer of Isha.

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, involves fasting from dawn to dusk by adult Muslims for a period of 29 or 30 days.
