The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of Mr. Nick Imudia, the former Chief Executive Officer of Konga, one of Nigeria’s leading e-commerce companies.

According to sources from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), detectives from the Homicide Section have visited the scene and plan to conduct a forensic analysis of the items found there.

Reports indicate that Imudia, who was serving as the CEO of D.light, a company specializing in residential solar energy solutions, died by suicide on Tuesday night by jumping from the balcony of his apartment in Lekki, Lagos.

Before taking his life, Imudia reportedly called his brother in the United States, giving him instructions on how to distribute his wealth in the event of his death.

He also spoke to his young daughter from a previous relationship, telling her that he would always be there for her and that she could look to the sky to see him.

Nick Imudia hailed from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. He was initially married to the mother of his young daughter, who was also from the same local government area, but their marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences.

He later married a Caucasian woman, and many believed he had achieved personal and professional fulfillment.
