A suspect known only as Okereke has been taken into custody, according to the Ogun State Police Command. Okereke is accused of fatally stabbing his buddy Ibere Okorie with a knife following a dispute about a female lover.
When the event happened, Okereke and Okorie had departed Ijebu-Ode on a business trip to Niger State.
Our reporter was informed that Okereke and Okorie chose to stay at a motel in Mokwa because of the tension they had experienced throughout their journey.

Okereke was said to have picked up a piece of a broken bottle during the heated altercation, according to the police, and stuck it in Okerie’s stomach, leaving him with a serious injury.
