Amina Arong has been appointed as the National Women Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party.

She would replace late Prof. Stella Effah-Attoe.

Debo Ologunagba, the party’s national publicity secretary, made this claim in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.

Ms Arong was a well-known women’s activist, according to Mr. Ologunagba. She came from Cross River.

He expressed his belief that she would contribute both her knowledge and her background as a female leader.

According to Mr Ologungba, Ms Arong, who holds a B.Sc. in accounting and a diploma in banking and finance, would fill in for the late Prof Stella Effah-Attoe, a National Women Leader who passed away on October 29.

“The PDP congratulates and tasks the new national women leader to deploy her capacity and experience in working with other members of the National Working Committee for the continuing stability, growth and success of our great party,” he said.
