Nigerians react to Super Eagles’ 2-0 loss to Serbia

NEWS DIGEST – Nigerians have reacted to Super Eagles 2-0 loss to the Serbian National team, both goals in the game were scored by Alexsandar Mitrovic in the second half of the game.

The Super Eagles missing their Captain Mikel Obi and a host of other players had struggled to contain the rampaging Serbian National team in the first half of the match.

A Nigerian Samuel Toriola opined that the senior National team needs to work harder and gel further if any impact will be made by the team at the world cup “We need to work further more on our weak areas especially the mid-field,absence of Mikel should not always affect us,we are also week on ariel balls”.

Speaking also Via his facebook page Richard Mammah, another Nigerian expressed hope that the current crop of players should learn to play as a team “The Super Eagles need to become a team now” he said.

Femi Odumakin an Ardent football fan said the defeat will only help the team get stronger “The defeat will help us get better,I trust the coach to work on weak areas” he told The News Digest.

The defeat by Serbia ends a run of wins in international friendlies by the Super Eagles.
