Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, died at the age of 27. On Tuesday, the House of Representatives observed a moment of silence in his honor.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was laid to rest a day later.
The lower chamber paid the tribute at the beginning of an executive session at the resumption of plenary in Abuja.

Subsequently, after a motion of urgent importance was moved by the member representing the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Mr Babajimi Benson, the House further resolved to monitor the investigation and royalties related to the deceased.
Benson also urged the reform of copyright rules as well as entertainment legislation, and he voiced worries regarding contracts and agreements for entertainers.
Perez Medcare Hospital, where Mohbad was treated, recently issued a statement regarding the singer’s passing.
The hospital said that the musician was taken in dead to the hospital in a statement posted on its Instagram page on Monday night. The hospital also refuted reports that the singer had been admitted.
