“Meadows Community and Development Outreach (MCDO) a civil society organization based in Ilorin has sincerely lauded and commended the recruitment process leading to the selection of successful candidates in the just concluded recruitment exercise in the state. The exercise was adjudged by all and sundry to be one of the fairest in the recent past.

“Earlier this year, the government declared vacant positions of around 4701 into both TESCOM and SUBEB through electronic recruitment window from application stage to final selection, the process was transparent, hitch free and merit-based.

“However, we observed that 4578 candidates were selected against 4701 that was initially announced, that gives the difference of 123 candidates representing about 2% of the total number, we are hereby demanding more clarifications on the missing figures.

“Furthermore, we are urging the state government to revisit rural allowance for both new and existing teachers posted outside the state in order to mitigate over flooding of teachers in the urban schools at the expense of rural community schools.

“We equally want to implore the government to prioritize the welfare of teachers for effective service delivery in the best interest of the state.”

“We believe, Kwars State is on the track and concerted efforts must be made so as not to undermine the good intention of the government.”
