The FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has reiterated its commitment to assist relevant agencies of the FCT Administration in increasing revenue generation in the area.

Haruna Abdullahi, the agency’s acting executive chairman, stressed this commitment during the presentation of office furniture and desktop computers to the Department of Development Control in Abuja.

Felix Obua, the coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, facilitated the handover of the items.

However, Abdullahi mentioned the ongoing talks with the Development Control to explore ways the service could aid in improving their operations and fostering closer collaboration between the two entities.

While receiving the items, the AMMC coordinator commended the FCT-IRS for the kind gesture. He pledged to continue working in synergy with the service to enhance revenue generation in Abuja.

Mr Abua said he was delighted to receive the FCT-IRS team and was also happy to partner the FCT Tax Authority.

According to him, donating the items will go a long way in making their work easier.

Also speaking, the director of the Department of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima, said with the new leadership they currently have, he was certain that the revenue generation would be boosted.

According to him, there are a lot of untapped resources at the satellite towns in the FCT that needed to be harnessed.

“They have been challenged in terms of human and technological resources. With a collaboration like this, it will help in no small measure to boost their revenue and by extension enhance the revenue of the territory,” he said.
