However, despite the positive news of her appearance, Alison-Madueke is currently embroiled in a legal battle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF).
The two organizations have accused her of corruption, and she has responded by suing for N100 billion as compensation for the allegedly libelous publications.
In her lawsuit, Alison-Madueke claims that the publications falsely portrayed her “as a common looter of the national wealth and a debased and corrupt public officer.”
The case has garnered significant attention in Nigeria and beyond, as it highlights the ongoing issue of corruption in the country’s government and public institutions.
