NEWS DIGEST- A well-known former Kannywood actress, Sadiya Haruna, who goes by the stage name ‘Sayyada Sadiya’ on TikTok, has taken her husband Abubakar Ibrahim, also known as G-Fresh to a Sharia court in Kano State to end their marriage.
Sadiya expressed her realization that her husband was not the right match for her and stated that she could not envision spending the rest of her life with him. Their union had already attracted public attention due to various controversies surrounding it.
On one hand, Abubakar accused Sadiya of having a male friend named ‘Besty’, claiming that she couldn’t live without him. On the other hand, Sadiya firmly asserted that their marriage had reached its conclusion.

During the court proceedings, Sadiya, represented by her lawyer Barrister A.B. Saka, requested a divorce from G-Fresh. It was revealed that the court had previously allowed the defendant to apologize, but he failed to do so.
In response, G-Fresh’s lawyer, Salihu Umar Kududuffawa, informed the court of their attempts to locate Sadiya for the conciliation, but she remained untraceable. He pleaded for additional time, expressing his client’s enduring love for his wife.
The presiding Khadi, Abdullahi Halliru, granted the couple an extension to continue their reconciliation efforts and adjourned the case until October 10, 2023.
