Dele Momodu Accuses APC, Alleges Tinubu’s Role in Undermining Opposition

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made allegations against the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday, accusing them of employing various tactics to undermine the opposition.

Momodu claimed that the APC would attempt to influence individuals who are susceptible to bribery while intimidating those who are not, all in an effort to destabilize the opposition.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Momodu attributed all challenges faced by the PDP to the actions of the APC.

He specifically pointed fingers at President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of suppressing opposition activities even after experiencing success as an opposition leader before his party unseated the PDP as the ruling party.

“APC will do everything possible to destroy opposition; buy those who are buyable, to terrorise those who are not buyable and make sure that the party is in disarray, that is all.

“You see, part of my admiration for then Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos was the role he played as an opposition leader.

“Unfortunately, now we have a former opposition leader in government, and they don’t want opposition, it’s an irony,” he said.

The main opposition party has not been able to resolve the crisis that hit the party following the fallout of its presidential election primary in 2023 which cost it victory in the general election.
