Chinese Water Firm Targets 2.5 Million Abuja Residents With Daily Supplies
The Water Supply Division of the China Geo-Engineering Corporation Nigeria Limited, says 2.5 million Abuja residents will benefit from its ongoing water supply project in the Federal Capital Territory.
The firm flagged off the ‘Greater Abuja Water Supply Project’ in May 2021 and it is being managed by the Federal Capital Development Authority.

The Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, in a statement recently said, “Upon completion, it will alleviate water scarcity in 50 districts, benefiting an estimated 2.5 million residents.
“This project is more than just a water supply initiative, it is a comprehensive plan to enhance the quality of life in the Federal Capital Territory by providing safe, reliable, and ample water to its inhabitants.
“The project’s social benefits are targeted at improving the standard of living, creating job opportunities, boosting international competitiveness, and promoting sustainable development.” The statement reads.
