Chelsea Eyes Osimhen, Considers Including Casadei and Fofana in Deal

Football transfer market expert Rudy Galetti has suggested that Chelsea might use Cesare Casadei and David Fofana as makeweights in a deal to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

According to Galetti, either Casadei or Fofana could be included in the transfer to facilitate Osimhen’s move to Chelsea.

Cesare Casadei, who joined Chelsea in the summer of 2022, has made just 10 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

He spent last season on loan at Reading in the Championship and was loaned to Leicester City earlier this season before being recalled in January.

David Fofana is currently on loan at Burnley, with his future at Chelsea remaining uncertain.

“As for the transfer chapter, Chelsea want Victor Osimhen, who will leave Napoli at the end of the season, more and more,” he told AreaNapoli via Sport Witness.

“The Blues want to negotiate the terms of the release clause and it cannot be ruled out that the English club will try to include players such as Casadei or David Fofana in the negotiation to lower the price, although Napoli are not open to negotiating the price and are only asking for cash.

“With Victor a personal agreement is not so far away and the parties will continue talking in the coming.”
