The dead toll from a suicide bombing at a religious parade in Pakistan’s Balochistan province has risen to at least 40, according to officials.

Provincial home minister Zubair Jamali told AFP that at least 45 people had died, while district police official Shoaib Masood stated the death toll had climbed to “a minimum of 42 individuals, with over 65 others injured.”

Earlier, local media reported that 25 people were killed and more than 30 were injured in a bomb outside a mosque in Pakistan’s Balochistan region on Friday.

“At least 25 people were killed and more than 80 injured — including 20 critically injured people,” Jamali said
