The Yobe Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has handed over the project site for the construction of the prestigious Yobe City Centre.

Kaigama Umar, the Commissioner for Commerce stated this on Sunday in Damaturu.

Represented by Inuwa Gulani, said the Permanent Secretary, Umar said that the site was handed over to Thinklab Group Limited to construct the mall to boost economic viability of the state.

He said the project was part Gov. Mai Mala Buni’s urban renewal and the revival of economic activities.

Mr Umar added that the project aligned with the government’s commitment to foster sustainable economic growth, create employment opportunities, and enhance the quality of life for the people of the state.

The commissioner said that the firm was a renowned conglomerate with vast experience in large-scale projects, infrastructure, and energy.

“We are delighted to have their team led by Dr Sa’id Kori, Chairman of the conglomerate on board for this venture.

“Their track record of excellence and commitment to quality delivery reassures us that the Yobe City Centre Mall will be a testament to their expertise and dedication,” he said.

In his remarks, Dr Sa’id Kori, the Chairman expressed gratitude to the state government and other stakeholders for entrusting his company.

He promised the timely completion of the project with the utmost adherence to international quality and standards.

Also speaking, Bukar Adamu, the Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Damaturu Local Government Council said the state remained grateful to the visionary leadership of Buni.

He called on the business community in the state to embrace the development and cooperate with the contractors for the overall progress of the state.
