Sadiya Bashir, a homemaker, filed for divorce from her husband in a Rigasa, Kaduna Shari’a court due to his intentions to sell their home and wed someone else.
The plaintiff said in court that she and her ten children are not fed by her husband, Abdullahi Haruna.

On the other hand, Haruna stated that he did not intend to sell the house and that he only wanted to marry another woman.
He claimed that up until his plans to marry another woman were known to her, he had been living a happy and contented life and supporting his family to the best of his abilities.
On November 14, the couple was instructed by Judge Muhktar Mu’azu to bring their witnesses to court.
