A prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Senator Masaud Doguwa, has switched allegiance to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Giving reasons for his defection, Doguwa said he is not impressed with President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.

He slammed the president for being unfocused and for implementing policies that he believes have driven the country into deeper poverty.

Announcing his departure, Doguwa stated that his decision was driven by the administration’s anti-people policies.

He disclosed that he, along with his supporters, would be leaving the APC.

In a formal statement, the senator expressed his said :

“Upon careful evaluation, I have concluded that certain policies are detrimental to the populace and contradict our political principles. These policies are causing significant harm and concern to ordinary citizens.

“Observing the current state of affairs within the APC, it is evident that the party’s strategies offer no hope or relief for the common man, regardless of their status.”
