The candidates for president of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party, Peter Obi, still have time, according to All Progressives Congress National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, “to actualize their presidential aspiration after the second-term tenure of President (Bola) Tinubu in 2031.”

The head of the ruling party also praised the finding of the Supreme Court, which confirmed President Tinubu’s win in the presidential election held on February 25.

In a statement released on Thursday and signed by Mr. Edwin Olofu, his chief press secretary, Ganduje claimed that the ruling had refuted all allegations made by the opposition political parties that Tinubu was the beneficiary of vote manipulation in the presidential election.

He declared that Tinubu will now be able to focus on carrying out the APC’s “Renewed Hope” mission for the benefit of Nigerians as a result of the Supreme Court’s decision.

“Nigeria belongs to all of us; it is our responsibility as patriots to pull our resources together to move the country forward.

“I congratulate both Atiku and Obi for their dogged fight in extending the frontiers of our democracy and law.

“This is democracy, Tinubu’s victory is another victory for democratic rule in the country.

“There is still room for both Obi and Atiku to actualise their presidential aspiration after the second-term tenure of President Tinubu in 2031,” he said.

In addition, Ganduje urged all Nigerians, regardless of their political inclinations, to support the President in order to guarantee that he continues to advance democracy and steer the nation toward sustainable development.
