Victor Osimhen to sign Chelsea pre-contract agreement

Victor Osimhen, a striker from Nigeria, has agreed to join Chelsea in the summer after leaving Serie A champion Napoli.

The 25-year-old, who has a release clause of over £112 million, is reportedly prepared to sign a pre-agreement in January before officially joining Chelsea at the end of the current campaign. However, he will not be transferring this month, according to TEAMtalk.

Osimhen has been in frequent touch with players like Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel, who are trying to convince him to sign with Chelsea.

Chelsea have been keen to add a top centre-forward to their ranks for the majority of this season and have Osimhen at the top of their list.

Ivan Toney is another player the Blues are interested in, although his age and exorbitant asking price are said to be obstacles to a transfer to Stamford Bridge.

According to TEAMtalk, the Nigerian international would be open to hearing from the London team and would be pleased to reach a pre-agreement this month, which would allow him to make the formal transfer in the summer.

There is also building pressure on Chelsea to make their move as soon as possible, with the likelihood of a transfer battle in the summer as more clubs will be at the table for Osimhen’s signature.
