Victor Boniface of the Super Eagles is the most sought-after striker among clubs in the Top 5 leagues in Europe, according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

In the most recent transfer window, Boniface cost €20 million to join Bayer Leverkusen from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, but he has since developed into one of Europe’s most feared strikers.

In addition to being nominated for best player of the month in September, his stellar record of seven goals and five assists in 11 Bundesliga games has earned him the league’s Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month honors in August, September, and October.

The Nigerian also has the record for the most shots in the Bundesliga this year, according to statistics that were made public in mid-September.

Die Werkself, who presently top the Bundesliga table after 11 match days, have had an outstanding start to the 2023–24 season thanks in large part to the 22-year-old striker.

Just behind Harry Kane of Bayern Munich, Erling Haaland of Manchester City, and Serhou Guirassy of VfB Stuttgart, Boniface was the fourth player in Europe’s Top 5 leagues with the most goal contributions prior to the third international break of the current season.

His impressive statistics for goal contributions is only bettered by Kane, who has 28 goal contributions (21 goals and seven assists), Haaland with 21 (17 goals and four assists) and Guirassy, who also boasts an impressive 18 goal contributions (16 goals and two assists).

With seven goals in 11 games this season, the Akure-born striker is presently sixth in the Bundesliga’s 2023–24 top scorers, behind only Kane (17), Serhou Guirassy (15) of VfB Stuttgart, Loïs Openda (9), Jonas Wind of VfL Wolfsburg, and Leroy Sane, who all have eight goals.

Thus, it is not unexpected that Boniface is the most sought-after striker in Europe, according to Romano.

“Top clubs from different countries are keeping a close eye on Victor Boniface, doing fantastic at Leverkusen,” the transfer expert wrote.

“He won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award three times in a row. Top impact.”

Among the teams that are allegedly keeping an eye on the young player are Newcastle, Real Madrid, and Liverpool.
