Nine students from different faculties at the University of Ilọrin, Kwara State, including four final-year students, have been expelled for allegedly participating in examination malpractice.

Our correspondent was provided with a copy of the Unilorin Bulletin that was released on Monday, which included this information.

The bulletin stated that the students’ expulsion followed the recommendations made by the Students’ Disciplinary Committee at its 219th meeting, which were accepted by Prof. Wahab Egbewole, the Vice Chancellor.

A number of students are impacted: Lateef Lukman Olayemi, a 500-level Agriculture/Aquaculture and Fisheries department student; Kuranga Abdulmuiz Olalekan, a 500-level Agriculture/Agricultural Extension and Rural Development student; Adebisi Janet Bosede, a 100-level Arts/Linguistics and Nigerian Languages student; Ogundijo Abdulmalik Akinkunmi, a 500-level CIS/Library and Information Science student; and Ashekun Oladiji Quadri, a 400-level CIS/Telecommunication Science student.

Others are Eqwudah Lucky Ojonumba, 300 level Education/Adult and Primary Education Studies, Musa Mohammed Asuku, 500 level Engr and Tech/Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Ahmed Saddam Opeyemi, 500 level Engr and Tech/Materials and Metallurgical Engineering and Ayinla Jamiu Olaitan, a 400 level Life Science/Zoology.
