President Bola Tinubu issued a stern warning on Monday, cautioning anyone without authorised clearance not to attend the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meetings.

President Tinubu issued the warning after observing that several people, including his son Seyi Tinubu, gained access to the chamber where the meeting was held on Monday.

“Last week, I noticed the undue access of people sneaking in and out of this council. I saw the photograph of my son, Seyi, sitting behind the cubicle,” he said.

“That is not acceptable,” the President pointed out before commencing the meeting.

The President then proceeded to name the individuals authorised to be present at FEC meetings.

The individuals include Hadiza Usman, Special Adviser on Policy Coordination, Bayo Oanugam, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, Principal Private Secretary and Damilotun Aderemi, Private Secretary.

President Tinubu emphasised that these were the only individuals permitted an exception to be present when addressing national concerns and that others should refrain from coming unless summoned.

“Unless I send for you, don’t come,” he added.
