The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has called off the planned power outage on the Osogbo/Akure and Ado-Ekiti 132KV lines.

This suspension, which was initially set for a two-month period, was communicated by the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) Plc.

Evelyn Gbiwen, BEDC’s Head of Branding and Corporate Communications, stated in Benin on Tuesday that the suspension will continue indefinitely.

“We have received an update from TCN indicating that the planned outage on the Osogbo/Akure and Ado-Ekiti 132KV lines has been suspended. Initially scheduled from July 1 to August 31, the outage is now postponed until further notice. Consequently, our services will remain uninterrupted,” she announced.
