The House of Representatives member-elect for Jalingo/Yorro/ Zing federal constituency of Taraba State, Hon. Isma’ila Yusha’u Maihanchi, is dead.

Maihanchi died at the National Hospital in Abuja in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness.

Before his election, he served as a Special Adviser to Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku. He had also served as the Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State.

Meanwhile, the Governor-elect of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, has described the death of Hon. Ismaila Maihanchi as a great loss to the State and county in general.

Also, the Taraba State chapter of the PDP has commiserated with the people of Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency over the demise of their member-elect, saying it received the news with rude shock

The PDP noted that the deceased party chieftain “immensely impacted positively to the growth of the party in the state.”

The State’s working committee of the party in a statement issued by Andeta’rang Irammae, the party’s publicity secretary, therefore, condoled with his immediate and extended family members, his constituents and the entire people of Taraba State over his demise.
