Manchester City managed to secure a late equalizer at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening, rescuing a point in their match against Chelsea and effectively conceding points in their pursuit of the 23/24 Premier League title.

Rodri, the Spanish midfielder, scored the crucial goal, a first-time shot from outside the 18-yard box that was deflected into the net by Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah.

Despite the draw, Manchester City remains in 3rd place in the league standings, two points behind 2nd-place Arsenal and four points adrift of leaders Liverpool. They will have an opportunity to close the gap when they host Brentford in their next fixture.

Reflecting on the match, Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, said, “The first half was not our [normal] levels but to compete against these [level of] teams, you have to play 90 minutes, not just one half.”

In other matches, Liverpool delivered an impressive performance at the Brentford Community Stadium, defeating Brentford 4-1. Darwin Nunez, MacAllister, Salah, and Gakpo all found the back of the net, helping Liverpool in their quest for a second Premier League title under coach Jurgen Klopp.

Arsenal continued their strong form with a dominant performance against Burnley at Turf Moor Stadium. Following their impressive 6-0 victory over West Ham last weekend, the Gunners were once again in fine form. Captain Martin Odegaard opened the scoring, and Bukayo Saka added two more, with Trossard and Havertz rounding off the scoring to help Arsenal to consecutive away games with 5+ goals.

Meanwhile, Tottenham suffered a setback in their race for the top four with a 2-1 loss to Wolves at home. Aston Villa managed to hold off a comeback from Fulham in London, securing a 2-1 victory and closing the gap to 4th place Tottenham.
