The Sokoto chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed its strong disapproval of the outcome of the rerun election in Tambuwal West Constituency, labeling it as a blatant act of theft.
In a press release issued by the party’s spokesperson in the state, Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, on Sunday, the PDP extended its congratulations to the victors of the other two contested seats.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced Dahiru Bashir Ahmed, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), as the winner of the Tambuwal West constituency, garnering a total of 19,315 votes. This resulted in the defeat of PDP’s Hantsi Sule Romo, who received a total of 19,021 votes.
