Over a hundred travelers have been stranded on the Abuja/Kaduna expressway just hours before the Eid-el-Kabir (Sallah) celebrations.

Motorists and motorcyclists have been at a standstill for more than six hours due to a severe traffic jam stretching from Jere to Katarina.

This congestion has forced many to take the alternative Kagarko/Kachia/Kaduna route, despite its known security risks.

The traffic bottleneck began on Friday and significantly worsened by Saturday, June 15.

A Kaduna state government official confirmed awareness of the issue and reported ongoing efforts to resolve the situation since last night.

As Muslims worldwide prepare for Eid-el-Kabir on Sunday, pilgrims are currently observing Arafat.
