Rooney: Partey Lucky to Avoid Penalty Decision in Arsenal’s Win over Manchester United
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney expressed his belief that Thomas Partey was fortunate not to concede a penalty during Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United.

Rooney made this observation regarding a penalty appeal in the 37th minute when Amad Diallo fell in the box after a challenge from Partey.
While there was contact, replays suggested that Amad’s foot had hit Partey’s rather than the other way around.
“I don’t think this is a penalty [but] Partey is very lucky,” Rooney told Sky Sports.
“He goes off his feet early and he fortunately just gets a nick on the ball. For me it’s not a penalty but Partey is very lucky.”
