Rescue abducted Kaduna students without paying ransom, Tinubu orders security personnel

President Bola Tinubu has ordered security personnel to rescue abducted Kaduna students unhurt and without paying ransom.

The incident involving the kidnapping of over 200 students in Kaduna State was extensively discussed at the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

This prompted Tinubu to issue a stern directive to security personnel not to pay any ransom to the abductors during rescue operations.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made the directive known while briefing State House correspondents.

According to Idris, the President has issued a directive to the security personnel to go after the abductors and ensure they rescue the captives and reunite them with their families without paying a dime as ransom.

Recall that over 280 pupils and teachers of Government Secondary School and LEA primary school at Kuriga, Kaduna State were abducted by bandits recently, triggering national outrage.

The bandits reportedly invaded the Kuriga area of the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, shooting at their victims before taking at least 280 students and teachers away.
